Rob Solomon for the Georgetown Mountain Jams Free Concert Series

| FreeMusic has always been in the blood of Rob’s family. And his music is ripe with the spirit of his Rocky Mountain home. His many influences show through for a unique blend of Americana with flavors of country, blues, rock and soul. His professional career began in 1981 which makes him a seasoned singer/songwriter/musician. He is an award-winning performer and entertainer with an extensive list of experience.
Rob is afifth-generationn Colorado native who grew up all over the world as the son of an Air Force fighter pilot. He landed back in his home state and continues to reside there in Georgetown. Rob now performs primarily solo in the troubadour/songwriter tradition. However, his career has taken him down many paths. He has been a bass player (Spencer Bohren, Liz Barnez, Kelly J Band). He has been a sound man, stage manager for festivals, and briefly was partners in a booking agency. He was a guitar instructor at The Academy of Guitar in Ft. Collins and ran his own business GuitarKidz in Douglas County for 10 years. He is compadres and a frequent collaborator with national touring acts and recording artists The Subdudes. His most recent project was the duo Solomon Cook with Subdudes bass player Tim Cook. They released the CD “…notes sweet & low…” on Raven Records in 2016.
Over the years Rob has opened for (direct support) Leon Russell, Emmylou Harris, Los Lobos, Dave Mason, Jesse Winchester, The Marshall Tucker Band, Firefall, Hot Tuna, Sonny Landreth, the Subdudes, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Chris Hillman & Herb Pederson, Jerry Jeff Walker, Flying Burrito Bros., Hayes Carll, Loudon Wainwright III, to name a few………
