Virtual Trail & Ales by CSU Extension in Clear Creek County
July 30, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
| $5 – $15Join Clear Creek County CSU Extension for a virtual wildflower hike in the comfort of your own home!
TRAILS: Clear Creek County’s alpine and subalpine trails are a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers – whether you live here or are visiting. This virtual hike will teach you how to identify our local native wildflowers, as well as their unique adaptations for surviving the harsh elements found in mountain elevations.
ALES: We’ve partnered with two local breweries for some special offers
· Guanella Pass Brewery’s NEW Taphouse in Empire is offering two To-Go coupons that are good through July 30 – a discounted crowler and a free salad with pizza purchase – so you can pre-order, pick up and enjoy some GPB deliciousness during the Zoom!
· Tommyknocker Brewery in Idaho Springs is offering a free pint of beer with food purchase — take-out or dine-in. Perfect for enjoying during the Zoom or your own Trails & Ales experience between now and Labor Day!
Your coupons will be available to download from the Eventbrite page after you have purchased your Virtual Trails & Ales ticket(s).
We will also be debuting our first wildflower guide, Alpine and Subalpine Wildflowers of Clear Creek County, CO. While on our virtual hike, Melissa shows how to easily identify a plant while out in the field using the guide.

You have the opportunity to preorder the guide with your ticket for our Trails & Ales virtual event. The price of the guide includes shipping and will be mailed on or about July 30th. You will not need the guide for the virtual event as we’ll be meeting online rather than out in the field.
