Georgetown Days

At the end of May, Georgetown hosts a collection of events to honor our veterans and kick off the summer season. Come join us this year when we open Guanella Pass Scenic Byway, observe the annual Georgetown Pack Burro Race, Enjoy the Burro Beer Garden, Play your friends in a Cornhole Tournament, Enjoy Tasty Vendors, Food Trucks and much more!

Georgetown Days: Breakfast with the Honorary Mayor Parker

Join us Friday Morning for Breakfast with the Honorary Mayor Parker from 8 am to 10 am. The morning will Kick off Georgetown Days with a pancake breakfast before the opening of Guanella Pass at 9:30 am. Local coffee shops will donate coffee and cider while hotcakes are served. Be sure to say hello to Mayor Parker before enjoying all Georgetown has to offer.

Georgetown Days: Burro Races

  Enriched with history, Georgetown Days is the place to be Memorial Weekend. The rockies were flushed with gold which meant the miners needed to the help of Burros to move gold and silver. The appreciation continues to this day with Burros racing around town in this qualifying race. Pack Sixth Street to send the burros off, be sure to stick around to see who wins!

Georgetown Days: Memorial Day Ceremony

  Join Georgetown Memorial Day to remember those who have sacrificed for our freedom—Flag Raised at Noon at the Library Stage, with music and speakers beforehand.
